Chana( Chole) Chickpeas Masala is a famous curry in Indian cuisine. The main ingredient in it is Chickpeas . It is a spicy vegetable of strong spices. It is found till South Asia, in which it is most prevalent in North India.

Along with Chickpeas , Onions, Tomatoes, Ginger, Garlic, Coriander leaves, Turmeric, Coriander powder, Garam masala etc. are added to it. It is a vegetarian dish. If dry Chana masala is also added while making it, then the taste doubles.)

In India, it mainly operates in Punjab in northern India, as well as in the Sindhi region, Gujarat and Rajasthan in western India. In Gujarat and Rajasthan, it is often made as a dry vegetable. At the same time, this juicy vegetable is made in Uttar Pradesh and other areas. But masala is always spicy and pungent. It is served with Kulcha or Bhature. It is often a main dish in festive feasts.

Simple Way To Make Delicious Chole( Chickpeas ) Masala at Home|

Chole(Chickpeas ) Masala

Ingredients:-

1) Chole(Chickpeas ) – 125 Gms
2) Onion – 1 big size (chopped)
3) Tomato – 2 Medium Size
4) Green Chilli – 1 no sliced
5) Coriander Leaves – Chopped
6) Salt – to taste
7)Oil – 3 tbls
8)Cinnamon – 1 inch
9) Bay leaf – 3 leaf
10) Red chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
11) Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
12) Coriander Powder – 1/2 tsp
13) Garam Masala powder – 1/4 tsp
14)Butter – 1.5 tsp

Instructions:-

1)Soak Chickpeas (Chole) in water overnight and wash Chickpeas (Chole) well and keep them in a box on the second day, add water and add some salt and baking soda to it and cook in a pressure cooker with 5 to 6 whistles, remember that Chickpeas (Chole) should be cooked as much as they can be mashed by hand. Now let the cooker cool down.

2)When the pressure cooker cools down a bit, take out one-fourth of the cooked Chickpeas (Chole) in a bowl and make a paste out of it and keep the rest like this. Now put a Wok on the gas, as soon as the Wok gets hot, add 3 tablespoons of oil to it.

3)When the oil is hot, add Cumin Seeds, add Bay Leaves , Cinnamon and fry, then add Onion and 2 Green Chilies and fry well, now add Chopped Tomatoes and mix, then add Turmeric powder, half teaspoon Coriander powder, half teaspoon Red Chili powder. Garam masala powder 1/4th tsp, now fry it.

4)When the tomato becomes soft, add crushed Chickpeas  paste and mix it and now add the remaining Chickpeas (Chole) and mix it and also add some water. Add water as much as you want your gravy to be thick. And now we will add salt as per taste.

5)Now cook it till it comes to boil and now add butter and mix it well and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes and add coriander in the last and then mix it well.

6)So finally, Chole Masala is ready to eat, so now we will take it out in a bowl and garnish it with coriander and put some butter on top. You can eat it with naan, chapati, roti, puri. So you must make today’s recipe at your home and share your experience with us.
