The origin of crème Caramel Custard can be traced back to the Roman Empire where a dish called tiropatinam was made with Eggs, Milk and Pepper and was seasoned in its savoury version with Fish, Eel, and Spinach, although there was also a sweet version with honey but still including pepper.

It was in the early Middle Ages, in France when they started using only the ingredients from which the recipe is made today, and introduced Caramelised Sugar into the mixture and to call it flan, which comes from the Proto-Germanic Flado.

To make bread pudding, I would like to give you some suggestions. It is not necessary to use Fat milk, but it can be very good even if you use thin milk .

Since this bread pudding is a recipe of Caramel Custard, bread will definitely be used in it. We are going to need bread crumbs in this, so to make bread crumbs, we will take fresh bread and dry it under the fan, then make bread crumbs because if you go to grind fresh bread directly in the mixer, then it will not be able to make bread crumbs, that’s why you First dry it under the fan and then make bread crumbs in its mixer or the best option is you can use readymade bread crumbs from the market.

Its creamy texture increases the liking of this recipe because it is very creamy and soft to eat and if you put it in the mouth, it will melt like butter. That’s why it tastes very tasty.

Ingredients:-

1) Milk- 500 ml
2) Sugar – 5 to 6 tsp ( for Custard)
3) Bread Slices – 4 Nos
4) Custard powder – 3 tsp
5) Sugar – 4 tsp ( For Caramel)

 

Instructions:-

  1. To make Caramel Custard, we will put a pan on the gas on medium flame and put 5 spoons of sugar in it. let melt the sugar.
  2. Now keep stirring the sugar continuously with a spoon until the sugar melts completely.
  3. Even after the sugar melts, we will keep stirring the sugar continuously with a spoon until the color of the sugar becomes golden. The state in which sugar is visible to us is called Caramel.
  4. Pour the Caramel into a small cake tin or bowl and swirl a little of the Caramel to coat the bottom off the cake tin or bowl. Put asid
  5. Now let it set at room temperature.
  6. To make Bread Pudding Caramel Custard, we will take 5 slices of bread. Cut all the sides of the bread, now grind the middle part in the mixer and make bread crumbs out of it.
  7. Now keep half a liter of milk for heating. As soon as the milk starts boiling, keep stirring it continuously with the help of a spoon so that the milk does not come out of the utensil.
  8. Put sugar in it and let the Sugar dissolve well in the milk.
  9. Take custard powder in a bowl and add some cold water to it. We have used vanilla Custard powder in this. You can use any flavor of Custard powder as per your choice. Let the Custard powder dissolve well in water. You can also use cold milk in it but do not use hot milk otherwise it will form lumps.
  10. We will slowly pour this mixture into the boiling milk and keep stirring it continuously with the other hand so that lumps do not form in it.
  11. Similarly, we will slowly pour the remaining mixture into the milk and keep stirring with a spoon with one hand and keep stirring till then. Until it thickens a little.
  12. When it becomes thick, we will add bread crumbs as per requirement, we will add only as much as we need, hence we will add bread crumbs slowly so that you will get an idea of how many bread crumbs we have to add. And while adding bread crumbs, we have to keep stirring it continuously with a spoon so that lumps do not form.
  13. Let it cook on low flame for 4 to 5 minutes. And then we will turn off the gas and now let this mixture cool to normal temperature.
  14. Now we will pour this prepared custard in a cake tin and cover it with silver paper on top.
  15. Now we will take a Wok and put a stand inside it and pour water in it . Put cake tin on the stand and cover it with lead and steam it on medium flame for at least 25 to 30 minutes.
  16. After 25 minutes we will turn off the gas and take out our cake tin and let it cool down to normal temperature and then after that we will keep it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours . and after 2 hours we will take it out.
  17. Now we will remove the silver paper from the top of the cake tin and loosen its edges with the help of a knife and then take a plate and place it over it and then turn it over. If we tap it a little from below, then it will completely come in the plate.
